The Finance Controller will oversee all financial activities of the organization ensuring accuracy compliance and efficiency in financial reporting and operations. This role is responsible for managing accounting functions financial planning budgeting and internal controls. The Finance Controller will provide strategic financial guidance to senior management and support decisionmaking processes to drive the organizations financial health and growth.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends variances and opportunities for improvement.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial data.
Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting activities.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment with financial goals.
Oversee daytoday accounting operations including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and general ledger.
Manage monthend and yearend closing processes.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP and BD financial policies in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
Maintain financial controls and ensure compliance with SarbanesOxley regulations.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external auditors.
Implement and monitor policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks.
Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the organization meets its financial obligations.
Optimize working capital and manage banking relationships.
Supervise and mentor the finance and accounting team.
Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
Support the CFO in developing longterm financial strategies.
Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial modelling.
Assist in mergers acquisitions and other strategic initiatives.
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA MBA or CMA designation is preferred.
7 years of relevant accounting and finance experience specifically within a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience in financial reporting budgeting and internal controls.
Experience in specific industry e.g. manufacturing is strongly preferred. Medical devise exposure would be great.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
