Job Title: Senior Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist
Location: Carrollton GA
Salary: $75000 $120000 Annually
Employment Type: Full Time
The Senior EHS Specialist is responsible for ensuring environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance and program management at a Level 1 facility. This role provides regulatory expertise implements EHS initiatives and monitors facility activities to ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards. The ideal candidate will drive proactive improvements foster a culture of safety and support the sites EHS management processes.
Key Responsibilities:Analyze data to identify opportunities for proactive safety and environmental improvements.
Lead the implementation and sustainability of EHS compliance programs and management processes (ISO OHSAS VPP).
Develop and deploy processes to identify evaluate and control workplace hazards in compliance with local state and federal regulations.
Conduct and lead EHS investigations root cause analysis and corrective action development for incidents near misses and regulatory concerns.
Manage regulatory recordkeeping reporting and case management for the facility.
Develop track and deliver EHS training for employees and stakeholders.
Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to EHS within the facility.
Oversee compliance for air water and waste management including DOT regulations.
Ensure alignment with companywide EHS policies and procedures.
Serve as the Emergency Response Coordinator assisting with emergency response coordination and contractor management. This position requires oncall availability 24/7.
Bachelors degree in Engineering Science or a related EHS discipline.
Minimum of 9 years of experience in industrial EHS activities.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA NFPA ANSI NEC and other safety regulations.
Professional certification (e.g. CSP CIH) is preferred.
Ability to work flexible hours including nontraditional shifts.
Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
