Job Description

Overview

The Project Director is responsible for leading and managing the execution of multiple industrial construction projects across Cambodia. This role ensures timely completion budget adherence and strict compliance with quality and safety standards. The Project Director will oversee a team of project managers provide strategic direction and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including local and international clients. The ideal candidate should have a background in civil engineering fluency in Chinese and proven experience managing multiple construction sites. Preference will be given to candidates from Malaysia or Singapore with a strong track record in ASEAN markets.


Job Description

Project Leadership & Oversight

  • Oversee the execution of 10 industrial construction projects simultaneously ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and quality standards.
  • Direct project planning coordination and execution ensuring compliance with client specifications and industry regulations.
  • Guarantee project delivery within scope schedule and budget while upholding safety and quality benchmarks.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary liaison for key clients including Chinese FDI companies local businesses and Western investors.
  • Foster strong client relationships ensuring satisfaction and proactively addressing concerns.
  • Coordinate with clients architects engineers and stakeholders to streamline project execution and communication.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead mentor and manage project managers and construction teams to achieve high performance and efficiency.
  • Implement training and development programs to align teams with industry best practices.
  • Continuously assess and enhance team performance providing guidance and support as needed.

Risk Management & ProblemSolving

  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks ensuring uninterrupted project progress.
  • Resolve construction delays cost overruns and resource constraints with effective problemsolving strategies.

Budget & Resource Management

  • Oversee and control project budgets ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost management.
  • Approve and review financial reports invoices and cost projections for all ongoing projects.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure full compliance with local construction laws safety regulations and company policies across all projects.
  • Foster a strong safety culture by enforcing strict adherence to safety protocols and industry best practices.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Deliver regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders including progress reports risk assessments and financial summaries.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities including contracts agreements and milestone reports for accountability and future reference.


Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
  • 10 years of experience in construction project management with a strong focus on industrial projects.
  • Proven track record in managing multiple largescale projects valued at up to $30 million per year.
  • 5 years in a leadership or directorlevel role within the construction industry.
  • Experience working with Chinese FDI local and Western clients ensuring smooth stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial construction processes project compliance and local regulations in Cambodia.
  • Chinesespeaking candidates preferred especially those from Malaysia or Singapore with ASEAN market experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple construction sites efficiently.
