Paediatrics Department- 17-bed General Paediatric Ward (expanding services).
- 6-bed Special Care Nursery (SCN) (soon expanding to 12 beds).
- Paediatric Outpatient Clinics with a variety of conditions, including a diabetic clinic.
- Provides outreach services to regional towns & Aboriginal communities.
- Accepts paediatric & neonatal referrals within Central Queensland.
Key Responsibilities: Clinical Services & Patient Care- Support Senior Medical Staff in delivering high-quality paediatric care.
- Manage acute & chronic paediatric conditions in hospital and outpatient settings.
- Participate in outreach clinics across Central Queensland.
- Provide emergency paediatric care under supervision.
Education & Training- Participate in clinical teaching sessions.
- Gain experience in Neonatal and General Paediatrics.
- Work within a supportive & structured training environment.
Teamwork & Collaboration- Work closely with Paediatricians, Nurses, and Allied Health Teams.
- Maintain effective communication with families & caregivers.
Eligibility & Requirements: MBBS (or equivalent) with eligibility for
AHPRA registration (Level 3 Supervision).
Successful completion of AMC Part 1 (MCQ) (for IMGs).
IELTS or equivalent English test (if required, completed in the last year).
Recency of clinical practice (with valid references).
Current APLS (Advanced Paediatric Life Support) & Neoresus certification.
