Legal Support Assistant

Our proprietary Axiomer RNA editing technology platform enables the editing of specific single nucleotides in RNA using the cells own editing machinery. Axiomer RNA editing technology harnesses ADAR (Adenosine Deaminase Acting on RNA) which is machinery present in all human cells to repair GtoA mutations modulate protein and enable protective mutation functions. Axiomer could potentially yield a new class of innovative medicines and treat currently untreatable diseases.

Our legal department is currently looking for a Legal Support Assistant (0.4 FTE) to join our team.

The legal department within ProQR takes care of all legal affairs and related compliance matters. This ranges from contracting to privacy to financing and corporate governance. The legal department currently consists of three persons a General Counsel VP Legal and a Paralegal.

We are looking for a legal support officer to assist our Paralegal initially with improving the quality of our contract management system and serving as a backup in the absence of our Paralegal. We wish to extend this task to include light legal work overtime. The role would then include contracting cycle management supporting the contracting process of ProQRians drafting light agreements agreement review policy review and writing.

The position is for approximately 2 days a week which can be allocated with a certain degree of flexibility. Given the requirements and parttime nature of this position this role is very much suitable for a law student (HBO/WO) but we encourage everyone to apply.
