Job Description
This is a Remote/Hybrid role.
As an SEO Manager you will be client facing when required but as you ll be working with the client manager you ll not need to do any account management. Instead you ll be the subject matter expert in the room brought on to talk through what s needed to deliver results.
You ll also need to pick up some handson technical SEO work that might include anything from a site health check to a domain migration but you ll have execs to support with this work. This also means you ll be able to train other SEO s and help improve our processes.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Working with clients and the Head of SEO to define KPIs in order to create the correct SEO strategy in order to achieve the defined KPIs
Developing complete strategies for our SaaS clients that incorporate onpage SEO content production technical SEO and link building
Delegating work to our internal stakeholders whether they be content writers outreach technical or SEO executives in order to ensure all the resources available to you are working inline with your strategy and delivering you the results you need.
Indepth keyword research and keyword analysis.
Indepth SERP analysis
You will be expected to define the correct content approaches for our clients identifying not only what keywords we should rank them for to deliver results but also what type of content we need to create to rank and how we are getting to get that content to rank.
We re looking for someone who isn t afraid of some deep work in a spreadsheet. What some agencies just consider keyword research we consider the crux of a strategy defining where that keyword sits in the client s customer funnel and how realistic it is to rank for that keyword against the competitors with the available client budget is a huge part of the initial strategy which you ll be responsible for.
Assist with creating client reports and providing insights (our preference is Data Studio but we re not precious if you have a better solution).
Training new strategists and identifying knowledge or skill gaps and proposing how we fill those gaps.
Forecasting and projecting what work is needed work with the project manager to understand what resource is needed now and for new clients we hope to take on.
Working with the head of SEO on improving our current processes and defining new ones we don t yet have.
Working with the client manager on client retention and upselling presentations
Being a part of pitches if needed to help tie up prospective clients with how we onboard them.
Be seen as an authority within the team when it comes to SEO and someone that can push their team forward with the right support.
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years previous or current experience as an SEO at specialist or equivalent level and be able to demonstrate your knowledge / experience.
Previous experience of managing team members would be beneficial.
Awareness of Link Building and experience with these types of campaigns is very beneficial.
Agency background ideally 3 years within a SEO agency.
Worked on enterprise level SEO or SEO budgets over 7k per month.
Passionate about SEO and up to date with latest developments including the role of AI in SEO.
Must possess great interpersonal skills and be able to connect with people from international and diverse backgrounds.
