Job Description

The Assistant Quality Manager is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in improving all internal and external plant assurance of quality systems. This is a dualrole responsible for both the Brockway and Crenshaw plant locations.

The Assistant Quality Manager will:

  • Work directly with all departments on quality issues and preventative and corrective actions.
  • Facilitate problemsolving activity through TQM team building and quality systems tools and methods.
  • Work with supervisors in identifying negative quality trends and repetitive defects.
  • Participate as a customer liaison make customer visits as appropriate and assist in implementing customer quality management systems.
  • Help develop and maintain the Quality Management System.

The Assistant Quality Manager should have:

  • Ability to investigate customer complaints prepare customer complaint responses and maintain a customer database.
  • Experience working with the plant management team to develop standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills with ability to work independently to come up with solutions.
  • Oncall availability to support 24/7 operations and weekend rotations.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree (engineering or related technical field) or equivalent experience
  • Strong communication and data analytics skills
  • Demonstrated project management skills preferred 
  • Proficient computer skills including experience using Excel and SAP

Salary Range:  The expected salary range for this position is between $85000 $95000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other jobrelated factors permitted by law.
