Job Description
A specialist SEN school in West London is seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a fulltime permanent basis. This is an incredible opportunity to work in a specialized setting supporting students with a range of special educational needs and delivering tailored highquality teaching to help them achieve their full potential in a nurturing inclusive environment.
The Role:
- Delivering specialized teaching to students with a wide range of special educational needs including autism learning difficulties and social emotional and behavioural challenges.
- Designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to support each students specific learning and developmental needs.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment promoting independence and confidence in students.
- Collaborating with SENCOs therapists and other staff to develop effective interventions and strategies to meet students needs.
- Monitoring and tracking student progress providing feedback and adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure students success.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with parents and external agencies to support students holistic development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in teaching students with special educational needs.
- Experience in a specialist SEN setting or working with students with complex needs is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of SEN strategies teaching methods and behaviour management techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of SENCOs teaching assistants and external professionals.
- Compassionate patient and dedicated to making a real difference in the lives of students with additional needs.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with students colleagues and parents effectively.
