The Tally Operator is responsible for maintaining and managing company accounts using Tally software. This includes entering data related to sales purchases cash banking and other financial transactions to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The Tally Operator must ensure that all entries are accurate and in compliance with accounting standards.
Data Entry:
Input daily financial transactions (sales purchases payments receipts) into Tally ERP software.
Accounts Management:
Maintain ledgers generate trial balances and monitor financial transactions to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Financial Reports:
Generate balance sheets profit & loss statements and other financial reports using Tally. Ensure reports are accurate and submitted on time.
Inventory Management:
Track inventory levels and input data related to goods in and out of the system.
Reconciliation:
Reconcile bank statements accounts payable and accounts receivable in Tally.
VAT/GST Filing:
Maintain accurate records for tax calculations (like GST VAT) and assist in filing tax returns.
Support Audits:
Assist auditors with necessary documentation and information from Tally for regular audits and compliance checks.
Reports Generation:
Provide periodic financial reports as requested by management.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance Commerce or related fields.
Experience:
Prior experience in using Tally ERP software is required (minimum 12 years preferred).
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Tally ERP MS Excel and other basic computer applications.
Knowledge of Accounting Principles:
Understanding of basic accounting principles tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail to ensure all financial data entered into the system is accurate.
Time Management:
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate financial information effectively with management and other departments.
