Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and highly qualified Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated educational team. The ideal candidate will design and implement individualized instruction provide accommodations and modifications and support students with diverse learning needs to achieve their full potential.

As a Special Education Teacher you will create and deliver individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique learning needs and goals. You will provide differentiated instruction that aligns with state and district curricula employing researchbased teaching methods to foster student success. Regular assessment and monitoring of student progress will help you adjust instructional strategies as needed. Collaboration is vital in this role; you will work closely with general education teachers support staff and families to create an inclusive learning environment. Accurate documentation of student performance and effective communication with stakeholders will be key components of your work. Additionally you will manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavioral interventions. Active participation in IEP meetings professional development sessions and staff meetings will be essential to staying informed and effective in your teaching role.

Requirements

To excel in this position you should hold a Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education or a related field along with a valid Georgia teaching certification in Special Education. A strong understanding of the IEP process is required. Familiarity with differentiated instruction and assessment strategies is essential for meeting diverse student needs. Effective communication collaboration and organizational skills are crucial for fostering positive relationships with students parents and colleagues. Experience working with a diverse student population is preferred and will further support your success in this role.
