Our client is a wellestablished multidisciplinary buildings consulting engineering firm known for delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions. They provide highquality engineering services across various sectors including commercial institutional healthcare industrial and residential projects.
Position Overview
We are seeking a BIM Technician to support our client s engineering team. The successful candidate will have strong expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and will play a critical role in developing accurate digital models. This role involves close collaboration with architects engineers and project managers to ensure seamless integration of designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage 3D models using Revit AutoCAD and other BIM software.
- Assist in the coordination of multidisciplinary design models ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Work closely with engineers and designers to integrate structural mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) components.
- Maintain and update projectspecific BIM models throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between different building systems.
- Generate construction documentation drawings and reports based on BIM models.
- Support the development and implementation of BIM standards within the firm.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior team members in BIM processes and software.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in BIM Programming Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a BIM Technician preferably in a consulting engineering environment.
- Proficiency in Revit AutoCAD and Navisworks.
- Understanding of structural mechanical electrical and plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to identify and resolve model conflicts.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
