Ensure to assemble patient trays according to meal plans including appropriate portion sizes and dietary modifications (diabetic low sodium pureed etc)
Understand and cater to specific dietary restrictions allergies and preferences of patients
Apportions and places food servings on plates and trays according to diet list on menu card
Promptly deliver meals to patients room checking patients identifications and verifying dietary needs before serving
Maintain a clean and hygienic work areas properly sanitize utensils and trays and follow safety procedures
Providing assistance in receiving and food deliveries ensuring proper rotation of stock to maintain freshness
Operate kitchen equipment like dishwashers warming trays and serving carts safely and efficiently
Able to collaborate and communicate with the kitchen staff nurses and healthcare team to ensure accurate meal delivery and attend to any patient concerns.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Examines filled tray for completeness and places on cart dumbwaiter or conveyor belt
Pushes cart to different wards or hall as appropriate
Serves tray to patient
Collect and stacks dirty dishes on carts and return cart to kitchen
Washes dishes and cleans work area tables cabinets and ovens
Collects and places garbage and trash in designated containers
Minimum of OND in Hospitality or related field
