Job Title Card Product Specialist

Term 24 months

Location Karachi Pakistan

Division Cards Retail

Reports to Chief Digital Office (Cards)

Relevant experience 12 years in Cards Product and Portfolio Management

Mandatory experience English and Urdu language requirements; local experience; product specialist

Purpose of Job:

The Product Management Specialist will support the client in profit and growth for cards from revenue to credit costs (including Fraud) and direct/allocated costs. The role involves product management for cards audits compliance matters and complaints support. The specialist will guide and support in executing strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with consumer banking strategy with a focus on the whole of bank value which is not limited to Card Launches and ongoing product management.


TASKS
Core Responsibilities and Accountabilities


  • Guide and support in executing strategies aimed at generating revenue through products in alignment with consumer banking strategy.
  • Supports the commercialization of new products and launch of new products and solutions by recommending pricing providing sales tools and training the sales team to ensure knowledge transfer resulting in successful sales in partnership with acquisitions
  • Support the client in profit and growth for cards including revenue credit costs and direct/allocated costs.
  • Manage product management for cards audit compliance matters and complaints support.
  • Provide guidance and support to clientfacing professionals and sales teams to solve complex client needs through products.
  • Supports monitoring of product performance post rollout and helps resolve product or sales issues to ensure continuous product improvement.
  • Support in delivery of large programs for clients from initiation to benefit realization
  • Successful execution of projects across different clients / businesses identifying and mitigating risks solving issues developing plans and ensuring they are implemented in line with agreed timescales budgets and
    quality criteria including examples of realigning scope and objectives during a program to ensure maximum value extraction
  • Develop strong bonds with clients that endure beyond a particular assignment serves as a goto resource for client staff is sought out for knowledge of industry and firm
  • Identify new business opportunities to support clients with Mastercard solutions

  1. GDV and Revenue growth from card products
  2. Number of successful cards launches and time to market
  3. Reduction in credit costs and fraud
  4. Successful execution of marketing campaigns
  5. Customer satisfaction and superior customer experience
  6. Timely and effective product rollout and commercialization

Knowledge and Experience

  1. Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Computer Science Engineering Management or Business).
  2. Experience in Cards product management project management and coordination between different functions.
  3. Strong knowledge of consumer banking and card products.
  4. Understanding audit compliance matters and complaints support.
  5. Ability to execute marketing campaigns and develop endtoend solutions.
  6. Experience in training internal stakeholders and performing competitive benchmarking.

Mandatory Skills

  1. Local experience in the Pakistan Baking market
  2. Technical skills in product management and project management
