Job Description

Job Title: COBOL Developer Healthcare & EDI

Location: Albany NY(Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Qualification:

  • Experience in developing and maintaining mainframe batch applications using IBM COBOL to manage modify and process data within a mainframe database management system such as CAIDMS.
  • Proficiency in designing and maintaining billing systems that process Medicare Medicaid and commercial insurance claims for services rendered.
  • Handson experience with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) health insurance transactions including but not limited to 837 and 835 transaction sets.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM JCL including the use of utilities such as IDCAMS IEBGENER IEFBR14 and SORT.
  • Experience working with Protected Health Information (PHI) and ensuring HIPAA compliance within complex healthcare organizations.
  • Experience implementing data encryption using mainframe ASPG MegaCryption in an IBM z/OS environment.
  • Proficiency in Oracle database management including writing complex queries developing packages stored procedures functions and table structures.
