We are seeking a Network Engineer IV who will be responsible for leading and coordinating activities to procure and install LiveScans statewide. This role involves advising agencies on their LiveScan equipment and network requirements assisting with equipment upgrades and creating network connectivity between cloudbased LiveScan servers and agency LiveScans. The Network Engineer 4 will also coordinate network connectivity and the configuration of state and agency systems to integrate with cloudbased LiveScan servers and work closely with IT suppliers and state technical personnel. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate the procurement and installation of LiveScans statewide.
Advise agencies on defining LiveScan equipment and network requirements.
Assist agencies in upgrading existing LiveScan equipment.
Create and manage network connectivity between cloudbased LiveScan servers and agency LiveScans.
Coordinate network connectivity and system configuration to integrate state and agency systems with cloudbased LiveScan servers.
Collaborate with IT suppliers and state technical personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Advanced computer skills particularly in personal computer PC peripherals and network technical support.
Expertise in advanced network administration concepts (DHCP DNS routers firewall etc.).
Experience in troubleshooting computer software/hardware problems.
Advanced customer relations skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Word MS Excel and MS Outlook.
Strong analytical and decisionmaking skills.
