JOB DESCRIPTION
The Country Manager (CM) is responsible for driving the companys business growth commercial success and operational efficiency in Nigeria. The role has P&L responsibility and a high degree of autonomy in commercial and marketing strategies while maintaining alignment with groupwide objectives. The CM will act as the local face and brand champion of the business representing the company in industry events media and key stakeholder engagements.
Key focus areas include customer acquisition airline partnerships strategic alliances (e.g. banks telcos) and regulatory compliance. The CM must balance scaling the business profitably.
This is a handson leadership role requiring deep market insights entrepreneurial drive and the ability to work across multiple functions and geographies in a fastpaced collaborative organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Commercial Growth & Market Expansion
Develop and execute a growthfocused commercial strategy tailored to the Nigerian market.
Identify key customer segments and optimize marketing channels (both online and offline) for acquisition and retention.
Drive strategic partnerships with airlines banks telcos and other stakeholders to unlock new revenue streams.
Market Positioning & Competitive Analysis: Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to position the organisation as a market leader.
Negotiate commercial agreements with airlines to ensure competitive pricing and exclusive offers.
Lead the product development expansion and optimization of B2B2C channels.
Oversee and evaluate marketing efforts (in collaboration with HQ) ensuring measurable ROI.
P&L Management & Operational Excellence
Own P&L responsibility ensuring sustainable revenue growth and cost management.
Develop and oversee commercial budgets ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Monitor and enforce strict cost control while identifying new monetization opportunities.
Ensure regulatory compliance corporate governance adherence and risk mitigation.
Work closely with HQ teams (Finance Tech Operations) to optimize local execution.
Tax & Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to tax laws labor regulations and industryspecific legal requirements in Nigeria.
Leadership & People Management
Lead and oversee the local team (40 staff) ensuring a highperformance accountable and positive work culture.
Ensure high employee engagement fostering a transparent performancedriven culture.
Ability to manage and align diverse teams across different backgrounds and skill sets
Identify and develop highpotential employees to ensure leadership continuity and internal talent pipeline growth.
Drive talent acquisition and retention strategies to ensure a strong motivated team.
Technology & Product Alignment
Define and advocate for the local product vision ensuring alignment with market needs.
Work with HQ s tech teams to ensure platform enhancements meet local requirements.
Champion automation and process efficiencies reducing manual dependencies.
Serve as the brand champion at industry events with media industry groups and other stakeholders

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Strong commercial background with expertise in marketing strategy pricing and business development.
Proven P&L management experience with a track record of growing businesses profitably.
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently in a fastmoving complex environment.
Experience in leading multifunctional teams both directly and in a matrix reporting structure.
Deep understanding of local consumer behavior marketing trends and offlinetoonline adoption.
Expertise in relationship management and deal negotiation particularly with airlines and corporate partners.
High analytical skills with experience in budgeting cost control and financial reporting.
Exposure to ecommerce fintech travel or highgrowth tech businesses preferred.
Strong grasp of regulatory compliance in Nigeria is advantageous.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Bachelor s or Masters Degree in Business Administration Marketing Finance Economics or a related field
Preferred/Advantageous Certifications in Leadership Digital marketing ECommerce or Strategic Management
IndustrySpecific Experience in ECommerce Travel Tech Startups Fintech
Strong grasp of Data Analytics Market Trends and Digital Transformation
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and corporate governance in Nigeria
