Are you an inspiring and dedicated educator ready to take on a new challenge We are looking for a Year 5 Teacher to join our vibrant and supportive school in Newham starting in September 2025. Year 5 Teacher Responsibilities
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging lessons that challenge and inspire Year 5 students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment encouraging students to take ownership of their learning.
- Regularly assess and track student progress providing targeted support where needed.
- Promote the development of key skills in literacy numeracy and critical thinking.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to deliver a rich and varied curriculum.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents ensuring effective communication about student progress and wellbeing.
- Contribute to the wider school community by participating in school events meetings and ongoing professional development.
Year 5 Teacher Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Education or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience teaching in Key Stage 2 particularly Year 5.
- A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Passionate about engaging and motivating students to achieve their best.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
- Committed to ongoing professional development and high standards of teaching.
