Excellent Location Based in Enfield with easy transport links to London and surrounding areas.
Lead and manage the schools SEN provision ensuring that students with Special Educational Needs receive the appropriate support and interventions.
Work closely with the SLT (Senior Leadership Team) to develop and implement the schools SEN strategy ensuring it aligns with the schools overall ethos and vision.
Oversee the development implementation and review of Education Health & Care Plans (EHCPs) for students.
Support teachers and staff in creating individualised learning plans for students with SEN ensuring differentiated teaching approaches are used.
Lead on the assessment and monitoring of student progress using data to inform decisionmaking and interventions.
Provide training and support to staff ensuring they are equipped to meet the needs of students with SEN.
Work closely with parents carers and external agencies to ensure students receive the best possible support.
Ensure the schools SEN policies are effectively implemented and reviewed regularly.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and National SENCO Award (or working towards it).
Previous experience as a SENCO or in a similar leadership role within an educational setting.
A strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice EHCPs and effective SEN provision strategies.
Excellent communication leadership and collaborative skills.
A proactive compassionate and adaptable approach to SEN leadership.
Strong organisational and data analysis skills to track student progress and interventions.
An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
