MUSIC TEACHER: A FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY IN HORLEY SURREY
A thriving secondary school in Horley Surrey seeks a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join their vibrant Music department. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and skilled Music Teacher to inspire students and contribute to a school that places a high value on the performing arts. The successful Music Teacher will be instrumental in nurturing students musical development.

ABOUT THE ROLE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
This role involves planning preparing and delivering engaging and challenging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Stage 5 experience (ALevel Music BTEC Music or similar) is advantageous but not essential. You will:
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Assess and record student progress providing constructive feedback.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom that fosters musical creativity and performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Music department and across the school.
- Contribute to and lead extracurricular music activities (choirs orchestras bands etc.).
- Organize student performances.
- Maintain effective communication with parents/guardians.
- Ensure adherence to all safeguarding policies.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Proven experience teaching Music at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Proficiency in at least one musical instrument and/or voice.
- A genuine passion for music and the ability to inspire students.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- A commitment to student progress.
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to contribute to the school community.
- A commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- The ideal candidate will be a dedicated Music Teacher.
