Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Mathematics Teacher to join our excellent school community in Lichfield. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mathematics a commitment to delivering highquality lessons and the ability to inspire students at KS3 KS4 and KS5 to reach their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative mathematics lessons to students across KS3 KS4 and KS5 focusing on fostering a deep understanding of mathematical principles.
  • Develop and implement a mathematics curriculum that encourages problemsolving critical thinking and application of mathematical concepts in reallife situations.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments offering constructive feedback to enhance learning.
  • Create a positive inclusive and challenging classroom environment that promotes student engagement and success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the mathematics department to share best practices contribute to departmental goals and participate in continuous professional development.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians keeping them informed about student progress and school events.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field.
  • A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE QTS or equivalent).
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics at KS3 KS4 and KS5 level.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to teach a wide range of mathematical topics including algebra geometry and statistics.

  • Passionate about teaching and dedicated to helping students succeed in mathematics.
  • Creative innovative and engaging in lesson planning and delivery.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
