Job Description
Are you passionate about technology and eager to inspire the next generation of innovators We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Computing Teacher to join our vibrant academic community in Hereford. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach students at KS3 to KS5 and help them develop essential digital skills for their future success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and dynamic computing lessons to students at KS3 KS4 and KS5.
- Develop and implement a curriculum that covers essential computing skills from programming to digital literacy and beyond.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments providing constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their skills and creativity.
- Stay uptodate with the latest trends in computing and incorporate new technologies into the classroom to engage students and enhance learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the department to share best practices contribute to curriculum development and engage in professional development opportunities.
- Maintain strong communication with parents and guardians keeping them informed of student progress and achievements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A degree in Computer Science IT or a related field.
- A teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE QTS or equivalent).
- Proven experience teaching computing at KS3 KS4 and KS5 levels.
- Indepth knowledge of programming digital literacy and computing theory with the ability to teach a variety of computing topics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Experience with teaching programming languages such as Python Java or similar is highly desirable.

- Creative and innovative in lesson planning and delivery incorporating new technologies and approaches.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
