Job Description

Everlast Gyms is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team in Epsom United Kingdom. As an Assistant Manager you will play a crucial role in the daytoday operations of our fitness facility ensuring exceptional member experiences and supporting the overall success of the gym.

  • Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily gym operations and maintaining high standards of service
  • Lead motivate and support a team of fitness professionals and frontdesk staff
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean safe environment for members and staff
  • Manage member enquiries resolve complaints and maintain positive relationships with gym members
  • Assist in creating and implementing marketing strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones
  • Monitor and maintain gym equipment scheduling repairs and replacements as needed
  • Contribute to budgeting and financial management including tracking expenses and revenue
  • Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage during all operating hours
  • Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions to improve staff performance and knowledge
  • Support the implementation of new programmes and initiatives to enhance member experience

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in gym management or assistant management role within the fitness industry
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others achieve their fitness goals
  • Proficiency in budgeting financial management and operational reporting
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations in a gym environment
  • Ability to create and manage staff schedules effectively
  • Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Relevant fitness qualifications (e.g. personal training certification)
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Uptodate knowledge of fitness industry trends and best practices
  • Familiarity with gym equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Proficiency in using gym management software and MS Office suite
