The Renal Physiopathology group at VHIR is looking for a highly motivated predoctoral researcher to apply for the upcoming AGAUR FISTEP fellowship. The research project focuses on generating kidney organoids from human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSC) with the aim of advancing regenerative medicine and disease modeling in the field of rare renal diseases.
Education and qualifications:
Required:
- A Masters degree (or in the final stages of completion) in Biology Biomedicine Biotechnology or a related field
- Strong interest in stem cell biology organoids and regenerative medicine
- Experience in cell culture molecular biology or imaging techniques is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Eligibility to apply for the AGAUR FISTEP fellowship:
- Hold the nationality of a member state.
- Have completed undergraduate studies or the equivalent degree with a minimum average grade of the academic record greater than or equal to 7.50 (scale from 0 to 10) of the European Union.
- You must have completed the studies required for admission to a Ph.D. program between the 1st of January 2022 and the start date of the contract. This date can be extended until 1 January 2019 in exceptional cases (maternity leave temporary disability for a continuous period of at least 6 months due to a serious illness or accident that required major surgery etc).
- Must not have a doctoral degree.
- Not having benefited from any other specific predoctoral research personnel training contract for more than six months.
Labour conditions:
- Fulltime position: 40h/week
- Gross annual salary: salary according to call
- Duration: 3 years
- Contract: Temporary
