We are looking for a fully or partially qualified Accountant to join our clients team.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a fullservice certified public accounting practice specializing in tax audit and financial planning services and is located in Birkirkara.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keeping company books and the preparation of statutory financial statements and periodic management reports.
- Address accountingrelated inquiries.
- To participate in specific accounting engagements to ensure efficient operations and meeting deadlines.
- Support clients to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Be the point of reference in guiding clients on different accounting matters.
- Manage the monthly payroll for multiple clients including submission of FS5 and year ends.
- Oversee VAT returns ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile various elements of financial statements.
- Undertake additional related tasks as needed.
- Offer support and mentorship to junior finance team members.
EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite especially Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Fluency in Maltese.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Detailoriented with a high level of accuracy.
EDUCATION
Currently studying ACCA or obtained the ACCA qualification.
WORKING TIME
Flexibility in starting time from 08:00 till 09:00 40 hours per week with 30 minutes break to be taken at your pace.
