Job Description/ Responsibilities:
- Following are the abilities to perform the essential functions.
- Bachelors degree and five years of experience in development or application support or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- In depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify apply and implement best practices.
- Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
- Ability to plan and manage projects.
- Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices.
- Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates.
- 7. Ability to interpret and convey complex difficult or sensitive information.
Top skills required for this role:
- Knowledge of ITIL framework particularly Event management Incident management Problem management and Availability Management
- Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and their impact on availability
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components including servers networks databases and applications.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools and technologies
- Generate regular availability reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) like uptime downtime mean time to recover (MTTR) and service level compliance.
- Analyze data to identify trends and patterns impacting application availability and propose corrective actions.
- Data analysis skills to interpret system metrics and generate meaningful reports
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams
