We are seeking a highly strategic and resultsdriven professional to join our team as a Fundraising & International Cooperation Specialist. This role is designed for someone with a deep understanding of international funding mechanisms bilateral cooperation agencies and development finance institutions. The ideal candidate will have experience securing funding from organizations such as IDB BID LAB ClimateKIC USAID the European Union and other international donors.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Fundraising & Grant Acquisition
Identify research and pursue funding opportunities from international cooperation agencies multilateral development banks and private donors.
Develop highquality grant proposals concept notes and funding applications tailored to donor priorities.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key funding organizations government entities and privatesector stakeholders.
Align Startup Chihuahua s strategic initiatives with the funding priorities of international cooperation programs.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development
Establish and strengthen partnerships with international and regional organizations focused on economic development innovation and entrepreneurship.
Represent Startup Chihuahua at global and regional conferences networking events and donor meetings.
Facilitate strategic collaborations between Startup Chihuahua universities corporations and government agencies.
Project Development & Management
Support the design and implementation of projects that align with donor requirements and international best practices.
Develop logical frameworks impact measurement strategies and key performance indicators (KPIs) for funded initiatives.
Ensure compliance with donor regulations financial reporting requirements and project timelines.
Advocacy & Policy Engagement
Stay updated on key international development trends and funding opportunities in innovation entrepreneurship and sustainability.
Advocate for policies that support startup growth and economic development in collaboration with policymakers and industry leaders.
Position Startup Chihuahua as a key player in regional and international development initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Number of successful funding applications secured.
Total amount of funding raised from international donors.
Growth in partnerships with key international cooperation agencies.
Timely and effective execution of funded projects.
Impact metrics aligned with donor requirements and Startup Chihuahua s mission.
Requisitos
Required Qualifications
Proven experience in fundraising grant writing and securing funding from bilateral and multilateral donors.
Strong knowledge of international development finance institutions including IDB BID LAB ClimateKIC USAID EU Horizon and others.
Bachelor s degree in international relations economics business administration public policy or a related field. A Master s degree is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
Ability to develop and manage complex funding proposals and align them with organizational goals.
Experience in stakeholder management partnership building and international cooperation strategies.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to navigate complex funding landscapes.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with impact investment funds publicprivate partnerships or corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Familiarity with Latin American economic development and startup ecosystem dynamics.
Knowledge of sustainable development goals (SDGs) and climatefocused funding mechanisms.
Track record of securing six or sevenfigure grants or investments for nonprofit or innovationfocused initiatives.
