Job Description
Civil engineers plan design and manage construction projects for buildings transportation and other infrastructure. They also ensure that projects are completed on time within budget and in compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
Design: Use computeraided design (CAD) software to create project blueprints
Plan: Consider geological risks like landslides and soil erosion
Manage: Oversee construction teams and onsite progress
Supervise: Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
Maintain: Ensure that structures are wellmaintained
Ensure compliance: Ensure that projects comply with legal environmental and health and safety requirements
Liaise: Work with clients architects contractors and other professionals
Assess: Assess potential risks materials and costs
Provide advice: Provide technical advice and creative solutions for construction challenges
