Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) Coordinator

Job Overview:
The Education Outside the Classroom (EOTC) Coordinator is responsible for designing implementing and managing learning experiences that take place outside the traditional classroom environment. This includes field trips servicelearning projects outdoor education international excursions and interdisciplinary experiential learning initiatives aligned with the IB curriculum for Primary Years Programme (PYP) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Planning & Implementation
- Develop a comprehensive EOTC program aligned with the IB curriculum ensuring experiential learning opportunities complement classroom instruction.
- Collaborate with PYP MYP and DP teachers to integrate realworld experiences into unit planning.
- Plan local national and international field trips servicelearning projects and outdoor education activities.
- Research and establish partnerships with educational institutions NGOs museums research centers and environmental organizations.
- Develop detailed risk management protocols ensuring all trips adhere to health safety and child protection standards.
2. Curriculum Integration & Alignment
- Align EOTC activities with the IB Learner Profile Approaches to Learning (ATL) and interdisciplinary themes.
- Ensure PYP experiences support inquirybased learning and transdisciplinary themes.
- Design MYP fieldwork to strengthen interdisciplinary connections in subjects such as science humanities and arts.
- Facilitate DP CAS (Creativity Activity Service) projects ensuring meaningful community engagement.
3. Risk Management & Safety
- Develop and maintain risk assessments for all offcampus activities.
- Ensure compliance with school policies government regulations and IB standards for student safety.
- Conduct staff and student training on emergency protocols travel guidelines and responsible behavior.
- Liaise with transport providers travel agencies and emergency response teams for smooth execution of trips.
4. Community & Stakeholder Engagement
- Communicate with parents teachers and students about upcoming EOTC activities.
- Organize parent briefings and consent forms for trips and experiential learning activities.
- Collaborate with local and international organizations for servicelearning opportunities.
- Maintain positive relationships with external vendors field experts and facilitators.
5. Monitoring & Evaluation
- Develop assessment rubrics to evaluate the impact of EOTC programs on student learning.
- Collect feedback from students teachers and parents to improve future experiences.
- Maintain records of student participation reflections and learning outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Educational Background: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Education Outdoor Learning Environmental Science or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 35 years of experience in experiential learning outdoor education or IB curriculum coordination.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with IB PYP MYP and DP frameworks and their integration with realworld experiences.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Excellent risk management and safety planning abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for parent and community engagement.
- Ability to collaborate with teachers and integrate EOTC into IB unit planning.
- Passion for experiential handson and outdoor learning.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in International Schools.
- Certification in Outdoor Education Risk Management or Wilderness First Aid.
- Familiarity with CAS (Creativity Activity Service) and ServiceLearning Projects.

Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Teaching certification. Proven experience as a Primary Social science Teacher (1 - 3) years Excellent Communication Skills. Strong passion for education and fostering a love for Social Science in young learners Should have good knowledge of subject with good experience. Students handling skills in the classroom.
