The Spokesperson performs the following duties and responsibilities:
Plans and implements local and international events to interact with the media in traditional outlets and social networks to maintain the reputation of Nazarbayev University as a leading research university.
Public Relations: Promptly responds to emergencies/crises newsworthy events and media requests organizes and conducts press conferences. Closely monitors the news cycle and anticipates topics for active discussion. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with media representatives (journalists bloggers social media influencers etc.).
Reputation Management: Timely identifies clarifies and follows up on appeals to news outlets; tracks and reports earned media coverage; organizes press events; promotes expert faculty research milestones student initiatives and other news that enhances reputation/public image.
Consulting: Provides guidance to management faculty and staff students and alumni on maintaining a positive and consistent public image of Nazarbayev University.
Administrative work: Writes news articles and press materials; edits the work of other employees of the Division updates Nazarbayev University media accounts related to news (Twitter Instagram etc.).
Performs other official duties within the scope of assignment of this position promptly and properly fulfills the tasks of the Universitys management;
Observes the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Employers internal documents;
Is responsible for exercising the labor and performance discipline;
Is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation Charter and internal documents of the Employer;
In case of dismissal is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation digital information inventory to another employee as instructed by the Office of the President (to be certified by the act of acceptancetransfer)
