Job Description
Project Overview:
We are seeking a QC Engineer/Sound Engineer to provide quality control and audio editing support for a conversational recording project.
The ideal candidate will ensure that all submitted audio recordings are of the highest quality by reviewing editing and making necessary adjustments such as improving the sound floor and panning voices left and right ensuring clear separation of speakers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform quality control on audio recordings to ensure adherence to specified standards including sound quality clarity and file format requirements.
- Edit and process recordings to improve the sound floor and eliminate background noise while preserving natural speech patterns.
- Split stereo audio files panning voices left and right to separate dialogue between speakers.
- Review recordings for natural expression ensuring the delivery conveys correct emotions and vocal nuances.
- Work closely with voice talents to maintain consistency and address any technical issues related to the recording platform or environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical audio issues to meet noise floor and quality requirements.
- Ensure that all audio deliverables are properly formatted and meet the clients technical specifications
Qualifications :
Technical Requirements:
- Experience using professional audio editing software (e.g. Pro Tools Adobe Audition Audacity or similar).
- Knowledge of audio file standards including .wav file specifications stereo panning and noise reduction techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines for reviewing and processing multiple audio files per week.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting recording issues and resolving technical problems related to audio quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on projects involving voice recordings dialogue editing or TTS research.
- Previous experience working with conversational scripts or voiceover projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote teams ensuring feedback and edits are addressed promptly.
- Flexibility with schedule and hours to meet client deadlines.
