I am working with a fabulous client in Blaydon.
They are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant who will play an integral part to support the business working Monday to Friday and reporting directly to the Finance Manager
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Weekly payroll of 30 staff
- Input purchase orders and invoices daily
- Reconciliation of purchase statements
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Ensure stock products and prices are maintained.
- Analyse monthly credit card statements
- Month end payments through our Bankline system
- Ensure fleet are maintained for services and repairs/mileage sheets
Requirements
Requirements
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft products particularly Excel and Word is essential.
- Experience of using Sage Accounts and Sage payroll would be useful but not essential
- An analytical methodical and thorough approach to work is necessary for this role.
- Good verbal communication.
- Previous experience within a high volume administration role would be beneficial
- Double entry booking knowledge would be beneficial

Previous experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm is essential. Solid understanding of the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules. Strong knowledge of legal accounting software Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
