Job Description

As a Reinforcement Steel Detailer you will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality standards in steel detailing and estimation for construction and infrastructure projects. Your expertise will be essential in reviewing contract documents computing costs preparing material orders and producing accurate quotes. With a keen eye for detail and strong problemsolving skills you will collaborate closely with project managers site staff and external stakeholders to guarantee project success.

Job Overview

Employment Type: FullTime
Shift: Day Shift (Monday Friday 06:00 AM 03:00 PM Weekends Off)
Work Setup: Onsite Eastwood

Your Daily Tasks
  • Provide estimations and detailing to meet customer requirements while ensuring quality standards and timeframes are met.
  • Review contract documentation to verify that plans specifications and pricing comprehensively cover the required building scope.
  • Compute costs by analyzing labor material and time requirements to achieve profit margins within agreed timeframes.
  • Prepare material orders initiate procurement and ensure timely delivery.
  • Generate accurate quotes and supporting documents to meet customer requirements within the agreed timeframe.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation including supporting information by performing routine and complex detailing activities.
  • Identify variations propose solutions and communicate proactively with clients before issues arise.
  • Communicate effectively with the project manager site staff and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Compile information and documentation process invoices and monthly claims and present them to clients.
  • Monitor and maintain project costs escalating any variations in a timely manner.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to other detailers as needed.
  • Comply with Euro Corporation s policies standards and procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Promote and uphold a healthy and safe working environment across all work sites.
  • Work in a manner that prioritizes safety for yourself and others.
  • Utilize safety devices and personal protective equipment properly.
  • Stay informed about emergency and evacuation procedures for quick response during incidents.
  • Report all incidents near misses and injuries immediately for proper documentation and resolution.
  • Actively participate in rehabilitation programs designed to assist in recovery from injuries for yourself or colleagues.

Requirements

The Qualifications We Seek

  • A degree in Civil Engineering (or overseas equivalent) preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the construction industry particularly in largescale infrastructure projects.
  • Construction/mechanical trade certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of reinforcing steel detailing and placement in accordance with New Zealand Standards.
  • Solid grasp of structural drawings with the ability to explain reinforcing steel layouts.
  • Proven skills in cost estimation mathematics and dimensional calculations for accuracy in measurement.
  • Strong negotiation problemsolving and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in construction environments.
