Job Description:
DevOps Engineer (Hybrid)
EOLWD is seeking a DevOps Engineer. In this role you will enable digital transformation for our partners in a global delivery model research on technologies independently recommend appropriate solutions and give technologyspecific best practices and standards. You will be responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders and applying your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Process. Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in crafting architecture documents to provide with the work youre doing in line with architectural requirements
- Create design artifacts and support prototyping through creation of POCs
- Delivery high quality work and support peers in quality checks such that design requirements are met. Create documentation for the assigned modules
- Lead validation activities for the assigned modules for all types of testing e.g. Functional Integration System User Experience etc.
- Support the creation of Go Live plan and lead assigned activities in the plan
- Perform rootcause analysis of any issues that arise postimplementation and work on appropriate solutions
- Participate in Knowledge Transfer sessions prepare system appreciation documents and support the transition process
- Conduct impact analysis of issues logged prioritize and ensure that production support is provided as per committed SLAs
- Lead code pipeline and automation projects
- Support and mentor other team members to bolster the teams effectiveness
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Boston MA. Current hybrid model requires 23 days per week in office.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of dynamic experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
- At least 3 years of experience in GitHub with GitHub Actions
- Extensive experience with AWS: instance management parameter store general administration
- Experience with package managers (i.e. Chocolatey)
- Indepth knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Splunk and New Relic
- Good experience in continuous integration and release engineering
- U.S. Citizenship and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are not able to sponsor at this time
- Strong knowledge and handson experience in scripting languages
Preferred Qualifications:
- Good understanding of source code management virtualization and containerization
- Experience in project management
- Good understanding of a variety of operating systems
- Familiarity with APM tools like New Relic BMC and others
