Our client who produces locally made furniture and interior items require an experienced Production Manager to join their team. Reporting to the Founders/CEO you will be primarily responsible for overseeing all operational activities including quality control and procurement as well as team leadership. You will also act as a liaison between leadership and artisans ensuring smooth communication and workflow.
Responsibilities- Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer demands.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely procurement of materials.
- Implement and enforce strict quality control and safety measures in line with industry standards.
- Conduct market research on competitors and industry trends.
- Conduct team meetings to communicate goals discuss challenges and propose solutions.
- Manage procurement and logistics and collaborate with the sales team to ensure a seamless workflow.
- Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments when needed to improve efficiency.
- Drive costeffective changes to procedures and strategies to enhance profitability and efficient management of resources.
- Analyze production data to identify and address inefficiencies.
- Manage and train staff to ensure they are wellequipped to meet production goals.
- Review and optimize production performance to align with business goals.
Requirements
- Must have at least a Bachelors degree in business administration industrial management supply chain management project management architecture or related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Must have a solid understanding of measurements and dimensions.
- Must possess interpersonal and team management skills.
- Must possess great communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to develop and implement systems and structures to ensure efficient processes.
- Ability to solve problems and pay attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
