Job Overview:
The Remote IT Technician will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining our companys IT infrastructure ensuring that our systems run smoothly securely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues provide remote support and assist with hardware and software installations. This role requires strong technical skills excellent communication and a customerfirst approach.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide remote IT support to employees addressing technical issues related to hardware software and network systems.
Perform regular maintenance and updates on IT systems ensuring all devices are running the latest software and security patches.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and system issues via phone email and remote desktop tools.
Assist with the configuration and setup of new systems including laptops desktops and mobile devices.
Monitor system performance identify potential issues and implement proactive solutions to minimize downtime.
Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software ensuring proper tracking and management.
Provide technical guidance and support to employees to enhance their use of internal systems and tools.
Collaborate with the IT team to develop and implement IT policies procedures and best practices.
Respond to IT support tickets prioritize tasks and ensure timely resolution of all requests.
Assist in the setup and troubleshooting of audio/video conferencing systems for remote meetings.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as an IT Technician Support Specialist or in a similar role (minimum of 2 years preferred).
Strong knowledge of Windows macOS and Linux operating systems.
Experience with remote desktop tools and IT ticketing systems (e.g. TeamViewer Zendesk Jira).
Proficiency in hardware diagnostics software installation and troubleshooting network and connectivity issues.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and tools such as Microsoft 365 Google Workspace and virtual environments.
Ability to manage and resolve IT issues in a fastpaced remote work setting.
Strong organizational and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills with a customeroriented mindset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Microsoft Certified IT Specialist etc.) are a plus.
