Job Description
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Data Engineer (PostgreSQL) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for improving database performance scalability and reliability.
Build and maintain the companys central Enterprise Data Warehouse.
Integrate new data sources for analysis.
Creation and maintenance of an enterprise dimensional model.
Developing data management functions.
Providing selfservice data capabilities.
Help define and promote data quality practices.
Provide customizable data services.
Comply with information security policy.
Minimize company exposure to contractual and regulatory liability.
Adhere to company policies and standards of conduct.
Requirements
Advanced Python experience and knowledge.
Expert level understanding of relational databases SQL and query optimization techniques and demonstrated ability to diagnose and prevent performance issues.
Expert level understanding of PostgreSQL internals.
Basic knowledge of Golang Bash Script.
Knowledge in Elasticsearch Logstash Kibana.
Proficiency in English language both written and verbal sufficient to succeed in a remote and largely asynchronous work environment
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely on complex technical architectural and/or organizational problems and propose comprehensive iterative solutions.
Comfort working in a highly agile and intensely iterative software development process.
Demonstrated ability to join and integrate with an organization on a longterm basis.
Positive solutionoriented mindset.
Effective communication skills: regularly achieve consensus with peers and clear status updates.
A penchant for communication inclusion and visibility.
Experience owning a project from concept to production including proposal discussion and execution.
