Our client is seeking a selfstarting teamoriented MidtoSenior Software Engineer to join a dynamic development team supporting a government customer. The team is focused on building a largescale enterprise application using web technologies distributed computation and storage frameworks and advanced domain analytics. The system is hosted on virtualized and cloudcomputing platforms. The ideal candidate will be capable of working independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to team efforts to meet project goals.
Essential Functions:
- Participate in an agile development team using mature software practices and supported infrastructure.
- Execute full lifecycle agile workflows including daily SCRUMs story grooming bidding and sprint execution.
- Develop new software capabilities and enhance existing ones using key technologies and frameworks.
- Maintain deployed systems diagnose and resolve issues and provide user support as needed.
- Provide technical and methodological guidance fostering a selfreliant and effective team.
Backend:
- Database: Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
- Web App Server: Familiarity with opensource web application servers such as Apache HTTP Tomcat.
- Middle Tier Messaging Systems: Experience with Javabased message brokers like Kafka or Active MQ.
- Proficiency in developing and using RESTful web services.
Frontend:
- Experience with Angular 3 or a similar frontend web application framework.
Requirements
Must Haves:
- B.S. in Computer Science Systems Engineering Information Systems Computer Engineering or a related discipline and 12 years of experience or a Masters degree with 10 years of experience.
- 6 years of experience with Java development and Relational Database Management.
- 6 years of experience with Angular 3 and PrimeNG UI components or similar frameworks.
- Experience with middletier messaging systems such as Kafka or Active MQ.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance and willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph.
Nice to Haves:
- 4 years of experience working within a SAFe Methodology framework.
Salary: $180000 $230000
