QA Engineer

Role:

1. Test Planning and Strategy: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for software applications and integrations. Define test objectives scope and acceptance criteria based on business requirements and technical specifications.
2. Test Case Design: Create detailed test cases and test scenarios to validate software functionality performance and security. Identify test data requirements and develop data sets for test execution.
3. Test Execution: Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools to validate software applications and integrations. Perform functional testing regression testing integration testing and performance testing as required.
4. Defect Management: Identify prioritize and report defects using issue tracking systems such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
5. Automation Testing: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium Cucumber or similar. Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.
6. Performance Testing: Conduct performance testing to evaluate the scalability reliability and responsiveness of software applications and integrations. Identify performance bottlenecks and propose optimization strategies.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Document test results including test execution logs defect reports and test summary reports. Communicate test findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

Essential requirements:

1. Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of software testing principles methodologies and best practices. Familiarity with agile testing methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
2. Test Automation: Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver JUnit TestNG or similar. Experience with scripting languages.
3. Testing Tools: Handson experience with testing tools and platforms such as Jira Azure DevOps TestRail HP ALM or similar. Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
4. Quality Standards: Knowledge of quality assurance standards and frameworks including ISO 9001 CMMI or Six Sigma. Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in the finance industry is a plus.
5. ProblemSolving Skills: Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues and propose effective solutions. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality assurance.
6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Experience in writing clear and concise test documentation.
7. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams including developers business analysts and project managers. Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
