Mandatory Skills

Proven detailed experience in designing mid to largescale network solutions

Capable of bringing together expert knowledge from across the organization and consolidating into a cohesive endtoend solution

The ability to effectively communicate and sell complex solutions

Experience in participating in virtual teams in a complex network environment

Technical knowledge of all major components of network infrastructure used within the Barclays group(data firewalls load balancer.)

In Depth knowledge of routing protocols like EIGRP OSPF and BGP

Experience in Software Defined Network implementation

Handling Cisco products like Routers switches Firewalls

Handson experience in Cisco ACI Nexus platforms firepower/ASA

Handson experience with F5 BIGIP load balancers virtualization platform VMware/AWS.

Fortinet Juniper Checkpoint and Cisco ASA firewalls

Preferred certifications:

Cisco CCIE/CCNP (R&S/security) certified

FortiGate FCNSA

F5 CTSLTM CTSGTM

Python Ansible shell scripting

Change management

ITIL process awareness change incident and problem management

Roles & Responsibilities:

To work for the Connectivity Delivery Center to ensure efficient delivery of the projects in Core Networks area.

Work with Project Managers to create Low level design for the project by following engineering standards.

Solutions Engineer is responsible for ensuring that any designs produced are in line with the current network architecture and infrastructure strategy documentation and are fit for purpose.

Be responsible for endtoend delivery of the Project tasks.

Work with global teams to achieve desired outcomes.

Contribute to the management of risk to ensure.

Compliance to regulatory and mandatory policies

Audit findings and Issue Assurances are fully addressed Key Accountabilities

Takes full responsibility to ensure the infrastructure component strategy of complex most critical and usually most costly components meet the business requirements within the clients budget.

Contribute to the definition of infrastructure strategy and policy.

Will assist the Lead Network Engineering Technologist to ensure that network infrastructure initiatives adhere to the roadmap.

Working with designers Project Service Architects and Architecture Governance & Standards for input and to understand and influence changes in architectures policies and strategy.

Candidate will work with Barclays internal stakeholders and with external vendors to achieve his project objectives.

Timely update and whenever necessary timely escalation of issues to right stakeholders.

Accurate estimation of workload and timelines for delivery. Decisionmaking and Problem Solving

Candidate should have excellent analytical skills and problemsolving capabilities.

He should be confident enough to take decisions in due course of a project either to improve the deliveries or to avoid any delays or issues in the delivery.

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements EnterpriseWide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards
