Chief Accountant

• Oversee daytoday accounting functions including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger maintenance and payroll processing.
  
• Prepare and analyze financial statements reports and forecasts for management review.
  
• Develop and implement accounting policies procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  
• Coordinate and manage annual financial audits and tax filings.
  
• Monitor cash flow banking relationships and treasury activities to optimize liquidity and maximize returns.
  
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process collaborating with department heads to develop accurate and achievable financial plans.
  
• Conduct regular financial analysis to evaluate performance against budget and provide insights to management.
  
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
  
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff providing guidance and training as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
  
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on construction / engineering industry accounting.
  
• Fluency in Arabic and English languages both written and spoken.
  
• Knowledge of Kuwaiti accounting standards and regulations is preferred.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite particularly Excel.
  
• Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
  
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
