enhancing network infrastructure and service delivery through an evolving Network Reliability
Engineering discipline. You will be part of a team responsible for design requirements analysis
architecture development evaluation prototype demonstration production implementation and
technical documentation within this area of Network Engineering. The position maintains a balanced
set of skills in networks and systems with focus on automation and programmability.
As a core tenant you will contribute to network automation and orchestration strategies that will
support network architecture service provisioning infrastructure deployment and operations.

What you will do
Participate in the design implementation and support of network automation and
orchestration solutions. Deploy and maintain the software and applications required for
those solutions across the IntelsatOne network infrastructure and its services.
Analyze daytoday tasks performed by Network Engineering teams and demonstrate
how they can be improved by automation and/or programmability with emphasis on
facilitating faster more reliable deployment of infrastructure and delivery of services.
Treat the network as code and adopt a culture of continuous integration continuous
deployment and continuous response with extensive welldefined pipelines.
Practice managementbymetrics where analytics and deeplearning through rigorous
data collection are imperative; define metrics (KPIs) and implement subsequent Service
Level Agreements (SLAs) for measuring network reliability.
Represent the department always as a technical SME; build a feedback loop between
various crossfunctional teams within Network Engineering to identify quantify and
address network risks. Work closely with Finance Engineering and other departments
to ensure the profitability of all project design.
Provide proactive leadership to mentor and coach guidance to all team members.

Your required experience/skills
A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
with at least 5 years of network and/or systems experience (or an equivalent amount of
education and work experience).

Subject matter expertise in IP Network Administration or Systems Administration with a
secondary discipline of either IP Network Administration Systems Administration or
Application Deployment.
Intermediate level understanding of software implementation and/or application
deployment methodologies practices concepts and solutions.
Intermediate level understanding and/or implementation of network architectures best
practices and protocols such as IPv4 IPv6 ISIS OSPF MPBGP LDP RSVPTE
HSRP VRRP and STP.
Experience with reading and manipulating modeling data serialization and encoding
formats such as YANG YAML JSON and XML respectively with an understanding of
underlying structures and their performance.
Experience in reading dissecting and consuming Application Programming Interfaces
(APIs) in a RESTful architecture.
Experience with highlevel programming and/or scripting in Python Go and/or Shell
respectively with emphasis on using network and/or data communication libraries to
accomplish network automation and programmability tasks.
Experience with IT automation tools such as Ansible.
Experience working with IP network performance technologies and solutions to deliver
Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and optimize network infrastructures.

It would be nice if you had:
Professional level network certifications such as the CCNP or JNCIP.
Professional level Linux certifications such as the LFCS.
Experience with Cisco Network Service Orchestrator (NSO).
Experience with using virtualization and/or containers to scale compute network and
application resources.
Strong knowledge of software implementation and/or application deployment
methodologies practices concepts and solutions.
