Senior Data Engineer

We see a Senior Data Engineer as a hybrid role that combines elements of data engineering business intelligence and data analysis. You will be responsible for building (leading) endtoend data pipelines using tools like dbt airflow Snowflake and other modern data stack components. This role requires proficiency in SQL dbt data modeling and data transformation but also collaboration skills and business acumen as they play a crucial role in enabling datadriven decisionmaking within our organization

Responsibilities:

• Design build and maintain endtoend data pipelines to collect process and analyze large datasets primarily focused around our Sales and Operations domains.
• Participate in overall architecture and strategy for deploying our endtoend data pipelines and adhering to best practices supporting our CI/CD processes in an agile environment.
• Develop and implement data models for optimal storage retrieval and analysis of data
• Foster data governance practices ensuring data privacy security & compliance and documenting data pipelines transformations and models.
• Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to deploy and manage data platforms and services in cloud environments (AWS & Snowflake).
• Optimize and tune database queries and data processing workflows for performance and efficiency
• Collaborate with data scientists analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver data solutions that meet business needs.
• Participate in code reviews documentation and knowledgesharing activities.
• Investigate and resolve pipeline errors data inconsistencies and other anomalies within the existing models or in reconciliation with other data sources.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
• 10 years experience including design development data management administration and support building data models with dbt core deployed in Snowflake with advanced proficiency.
• 7 years experience in data integration & orchestration using Airflow or similar tools.
• Advanced proficiency using SQL and dbt developing dimensional models supporting endtoend EDW and modern data architecture including design review build testing and deployment of models.
• Ability to interpret SQL and dbt code in complex data environment for the purposes of documentation testing and training to facilitate knowledge transfer and onboarding.
• Strong understanding of a sales processes from prospecting to contract closing.
• Experience modeling and analyzing Salesforce data. Salesforce CPQ knowledge is a plus.
• Experience working with sales and contracting data across disparate sales platforms to create a conformed view of data.
• Detailoriented mindset with a passion for data accuracy and reliability with a curiosity to detect and explain data anomalies.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data insights to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Having advanced knowledge of dbt features like testing macros custom transformations automations and documentation is a plus.
