About the role:

Under the program manager the project manager is responsible for the outcome of the assigned projects. The project manager leads the team through the Commonwealth Standard for Project Management for successful completion of the project phases: Preselect Initiation Planning Execution and Control and Closeout.

Qualifications

Required:

A minimum of 5 years of project experience in IT infrastructure delivery Network infrastructure Network architecture wireless technologies Cloud implementation vendor management.

Familiarity with telecommunications network technologies network standards and practices.

Manage projects consisting of network switches routers firewalls load balancers VPN fiber optics and internet services.

Experience in the modern fabricbased networks Network Fabric underlay overlay and SD WAN Experience with VoIP infrastructure a plus.

Experience managing large multistream projects.

Preferred:

Experience in both Agile and Waterfall project management..

Agile Scrum Master certification

Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Access Outlook Visio PowerPoint Project Server)

Special Instructions to Applicants:

PMP certification from PMI or PM certification from VITA is required no other certification qualifies.

Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience

Current Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) Required 10 Years

Candidate must have a minimum of 15 years experience managing large projects Required 15 Years

Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles. Required 5 Years

Balance business/technical background with sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to technology teams. Nice to have 3 Years.

Microsoft Office products (Word Excel Access Outlook Visio PowerPoint Project Server) Required 5 Years
