What we are looking for

We are seeking an Outbound Sales Manager with strong technical/financial expertise communication skills and project management abilities to drive our sales activities in Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a background in Kenyas C&I solar space and a proven track record in executing C&I solar projects.


What does the job involve

  • Client Management: Build and nurture client relationships.
  • CrossFunctional Collaboration: Coordinate with crossfunctional and crosscultural teams including engineering finance legal fundraising and regulatory contacts.
  • Technical Guidance and Expertise: Oversee feasibility assessments site surveys and review technical specifications to ensure project viability.
  • Relationship Building: Forge strong relationships with EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) partners and affiliates to bolster collaboration and project success.
  • Project Management: Manage the endtoend execution of solar projects ensuring timely delivery adherence to budgetary constraints and attainment of key milestones.
  • Performance Reporting: Provide regular reports on sales performance and progress towards targets to senior management facilitating informed decisionmaking and strategy refinement.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications in renewable energy or project management are highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience including at least 2 years in a similar role specifically in project management within the solar sector.
  • Proven ability to drive C&I solar projects from inception to financial close.
  • Exceptional sales skills with a track record of developing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of the East African market and ability to navigate the complexities of the landscape to identify and engage with relevant commercial and industrial entities.
  • Strong understanding of EPC and financing activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
