Trade Link West Indies is the supplier for different product categories for the retail shops salons and bars on board 200 cruise ships sailing worldwide and we are looking for a vibrant Sales Manager with pronounced experience in the sector and with clever skills to connect with people. Someone that is not afraid to take on challenges and to go out there and show which direction we need to move in.

Your main mission is to drive market growth through sales development with the current customer base. Together with the Division leader and the Account Manager you will embark on a trip off the beaten path springing from the desire to create a better service for the clients.

We are looking for an ambitious and vibrant person who has been proven to be an expert. You will be given full ownership and responsibility over our sales team and how you think we should move forward in terms of strategy to achieve our longterm plans. You will have freedom to explore create and grow your existing and new customer portfolio starting new business partnerships and close deals.

Imagine on a typical day you:

  • Contribution to LT: responsible for the total sales division performance.
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy and vision.
  • Managing the sales team: hire train develop and retain the team.
  • Understanding of the sales market with a focus on maintaining and expanding business opportunities.
  • Responsible for several large key accounts attracting new key accounts and handing over accounts to team members.
  • Achieving and improving logistics processes and cost reductions to improve the workflow between traders and the supply chain.
  • Responsible for a correct overview of all debtors.
  • Sales credit notes and overall payment terms for customers.
  • Are always on the lookout for new deals and business opportunities while enjoying the game of researching and identifying potential business partners.
  • Cold acquisition of new business.
  • Negotiate prices payments and delivery terms with new and existing relationships.
  • Follow up on offers requests and pending deals while keeping track of your entire order book.

Desired skills and qualifications

  • You have a bachelors degree preferably in economics or business.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in an active sale purchasing or trading position. Experience with FMCG companies is helpful.
  • Experienced in leading an international sales team (B2B).
  • You are fluent in English.
  • Full awareness and understand of International Trade and Import/Export
  • Strong ability to encourage empower and mentor the team of traders to achieve organizational goals.
  • You can manage your own progress towards achieving strategic goals and targets.
  • You enjoy having a great deal of freedom and responsibility.
  • You are driven determined and able to keep your cool under challenging circumstances.
  • You enjoy spending loads of your work time traveling to different countries meeting customers attending fairs and going on store checks to monitor current market and product developments.
  • Determination and resolution mindset in highpressure situations.
