Job Title: Senior UI/UX Designer
Job Type: Contract; FullTime
Location: Hybrid Multiple Locations (Canada)
Our client is a Crown corporation providing specialized and personalized financial services to farming operations. Our client offers financing insurance software learning programs and other business services to producers agribusiness owners and agrifood entrepreneurs across the country.
Responsibilities:
Establish a design system in Figma based on the clients internal design component library
Create current state design assets for implementation teams based on the underlying product that they maintain
Develop and iterate on wireframes mockups and prototypes for new business and user requirements
Proactively identify design problems and collaborate with implementation teams to improve existing product design
Create a design process to how to maintain version control for design assets and train implementation teams on the process
Train and coach implementation teams on using Figma as a design tool for collaboration when collaborating on business and user requirements
Requirements:
Required Experience
5years minimum UI/UX design for Web or Mobile apps
4years minimum using Figma as design tool
2 minimum UI/UX design projects in Canadian banking or financial services industry
2 minimum UI/UX design projects for employee based products
Experience in leading development / implementation teams on UI/UX design principles
Personal design portfolio with examples of UI/UX design projects for digital products
Required Skills:
Proficiency in using Figma for creating wireframes mockups and prototypes
Ability to collaborate with implementation teams to translate business and user requirements into design solutions
Excellent visual design skills
Systems thinking on how to organize design assets for teams and manage design assets version control
Excellent communications skills including presenting new design concepts and engaging implementation teams to identify business and user requirements
