Job Title: Conveyancing Administrator

Location: Newcastle or Gateshead

Company Overview: Our client is a reputable solicitors firm specialising in conveyancing services. They have a strong presence in Newcastle and Gateshead providing expert legal advice and support to clients in property transactions. They are currently seeking a diligent and organised Conveyancing Administrator to join their team.

Role Overview: The Conveyancing Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the conveyancing team with administrative tasks ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of property transactions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisational skills attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing workload.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist conveyancing solicitors with the preparation and completion of legal documents related to property transactions.
  • Liaise with clients estate agents and other parties involved in conveyancing transactions to gather and relay information accurately.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of all conveyancing transactions including correspondence contracts and financial documents.
  • Manage the conveyancing teams diary scheduling appointments and ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Conduct property searches and obtain relevant documentation from Land Registry and other authorities.
  • Assist with the completion of Stamp Duty Land Tax forms and other conveyancingrelated paperwork.
  • Provide administrative support during the exchange and completion stages of property transactions including drafting completion statements and liaising with relevant parties.
  • Respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally providing updates on the progress of their conveyancing transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legal regulations and procedures in all aspects of conveyancing administration.
  • Support the conveyancing team with any additional administrative tasks and projects as required.


Requirements


  • Previous experience working in a conveyancing or legal administrative role is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word Excel Outlook) and experience using conveyancing software or case management systems is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy when dealing with legal documentation and data entry.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work with the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of conveyancing processes and procedures is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
