I am currently representing an excellent commercial and residential property company in their search for a Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team. The commercial business focuses on short and mediumterm developments and investments while the residential business sells over 200 units per annum with plans to double in size. The company has a small team of dedicated professionals and requires applicants who are willing to work collaboratively.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will work Monday Friday 8.30am 17:00pm

As an Accounts Payable Assistant you will be responsible for the following:


Obtaining proof of delivery from suppliers
Creating GRNs and matching them to purchase orders
Processing a high volume of purchase invoices for multiple companies
Matching purchase invoices with purchase orders on the system
Coding invoices to the correct nominal ledger codes
Obtaining relevant approvals for invoice payment
Processing weekly payments by BACS
Reconciliation of supplier statements to creditors accounts
Verifying and maintaining supplier accounts
Provide cover to the finance department during staff absence and leave
AdHoc duties as requested by management

Requirements

Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar role
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
Experience with accounting software is preferred but not required.
