Job Summary:
The candidate will need to fulfil the role of Lead Nurse and CQC Registered Manager for the service and line manage members of the Senior Management Team
Key Duties (Sample):
To lead the delivery of public health nursing services Health Visiting Family Nurse Partnership and School Health and also the Specialist Health Visiting Services within the multi disciplinary team with the overall aim of prevention of illhealth protection from communicable diseases and early identification and referral of physical mental and social care concerns. These services are internally commissioned.
To lead in partnership with internal and external stakeholders the development of the Council s operational model for delivering the Children s Health Service within the emerging context of delivery of the Early Help Strategy and Family Hub networks ensuring the Council s statutory and regulatory duties relating to health services are fulfilled
To fulfil the role of Lead Nurse and CQC Registered Manager for the service and line manage members of the Senior Management Team
To work with the Director of the service commissioners and other internal and external stakeholders to lead the delivery of Children s Health Services in meeting the Council s Commissioning Intentions
To advise the Children s Health Commissioners on strategy and regime for the oversight of commissioned 019 public health services in order to effectively monitor and manage contracts and to demonstrate quality and impact for children young people and families
To provide advice leadership and supportive challenge across the children s services partnership on public health practice and related activity
To build strategic and operational alliances with services which are not directly managed by the local authority but are critical to the delivery of quality services. These services include but are not limited to primary care maternity child & adolescent mental health services and other community and acute service providers
To provide clinical and strategic leadership for the development of the 019 health service in the council which is directly managed and commissioned internally
Essential Experience Required:
Experience working in a senior nursing role
Experience of strategically overseeing the provision of high quality services to children young people and their families.
A proven track record of leading service improvements which delivered good outcomes for children and young people
