Position Summary
Client is looking for an experienced senior data scientist who can dig deep into issues get to root cause analysis analyze data and visualize that data through metrics and dashboards. If you can think analytically understand data have experience with developing database queries and scripts to work with the data know the difference between assumption and evidence have a desire to help the many people on this planet with diabetes and like working independently this job is for you. The successful candidate will have a background in database queries data analysis scripting in a major programming language such as Python and creating metrics. As part of the Product Health team they will drive insight and product improvements for our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Technical individual contributor who provides technical expertise and leadership on the implementation of data solutions.
Defines develops and implements a comprehensive set of metrics practices automation and KPIs to improve organizational performance. Metrics will reflect measures such as effort resource utilization quality and project progress in an objective quantifiable manner throughout the product/project lifecycle.
Create informative and visually compelling reports and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders.
Leads the analysis of complex software anomalies and proposes solutions using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decisionmakers.
Using evidencebased methods determines causes for potential problems and develops methods processes and software programs to cleanse and consolidate datasets generated by Client products and stored on the cloudbased data platform.
Employs techniques from statistical analysis and predictive modeling to identify trends extract meaningful insights and build knowledge of product behavior
Propose potential improvements for SW Products and processes
Interprets and effectively communicates insights and findings from analysis and experiments to both technical and nontechnical audiences. Works collaboratively both inside and outside the team to investigate specific cases
Write clear and concise descriptions of issues and analysis for Regulatory or QA review
Ensure that all datarelated activities adhere to relevant data protection regulations and medical device standards

* Experience in creating physical and logical data model
* Advanced working knowledge of modern toolsets and databases such as Tableau BigQuery SQL Python Javascript or Grafana
* Experience extracting data from tools such as JIRA GitHub test management tools Jama and Planview

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree plus 5 years of experience or 13 or more years total experience in a software engineering or similarly technical position (e.g. Data Science Software Development DevOps etc)
Thorough knowledge of database concepts and experience with merging data from multiplce transactional systems
Advanced working knowledge of modern toolsets and databases such as Tableau BigQuery SQL Python Javascript R and Datadog
Experience extracting data from tools such as JIRA GitHub test management tools Jama and Planview
Experience and practical knowledge of proper software development practices including configuration management change management release management and Agile development
Experience with data analysis and creating metrics
Selfstarter works well with minimal supervision in a distributed team environment; Ability to take a loosely defined concept and develop a solution
Detail oriented and analytical understands data is accurate when collating analyzing and presenting facts
Curious eager to explore new ideas and question when anecdote and metrics differ
Able to take a broad view of issues understanding the interactions between the various components of a complex system
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Clients products such as G6 G7 Dello D1 and D1 Clarity or Follow applications a plus
Experience with CI/CD solutions a plus
Experience working in a regulated industry a plus

Experience and Education
- Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 5 years related experience
- Degree or certification MS or Postgraduate but not required BS would be okay
